Legal and privacy
Not affiliated with Reddit
Residents is an independent agency. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or partnered with Reddit, Inc. "Reddit" and related names and logos are trademarks of Reddit, Inc. and are used on this site only to describe the platform our service relates to.
The same applies to the other companies and products named on this site, including OpenAI (ChatGPT), Google, Perplexity, Microsoft and the subreddits we mention. Their names belong to their owners, and naming them doesn't mean they endorse us. Subreddits are run by their own volunteer moderators, not by us.
No guarantees
Reddit, its communities and their moderators decide what stays up, what gets voted on and which accounts can take part. They can change their rules, remove content or restrict accounts at any time, and we don't control any of that. Google and AI assistants decide for themselves what they rank, cite and recommend, and their answers change from day to day.
So we can't guarantee any outcome: not a mention, a ranking, a citation in an AI answer, an amount of traffic, or a sales result. Any example, illustration or timeline on this site describes what's typical or possible, not a promise.
Your decisions are yours
Choosing to work on Reddit, with us or anyone else, carries risks you should weigh for your own business, including the risks that come from the platforms above. Every engagement is governed by a written agreement, which sets out what each side is responsible for. Nothing on this site forms part of that agreement unless it says so.
Not legal or financial advice
Our articles, guides and audits are general information, written in good faith and checked against the sources they cite at the time of writing. Rules and platforms change. They aren't legal, regulatory or financial advice, and you use them at your own risk. For decisions about advertising law, platform rules or contracts in your market, talk to a qualified adviser.
Third-party links
We link to other sites as sources and further reading. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content.
Privacy: what happens to the details you send
Our contact, audit and newsletter forms collect what you type into them: typically your name, work email, company, website and what you tell us about your business. The forms are processed by our hosting provider, Netlify.
- What we use it for: to reply to you, run the audit you asked for, and send the newsletter if you subscribed.
- What we don't do: sell it, rent it, or add you to anyone else's list.
- How long we keep it: as long as we need it for those purposes, then we delete it.
- Your choices: you can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time, and ask us through the contact form to see, correct or delete what we hold about you.
